These last few weeks have been a whirlwind! There were concerns regarding the last progress report. Please keep in mind the students and staff were busy preparing and completing the PSSAs, so there weren't many grades to be included. We are working very hard to make up for missed time. All periods are now back to the original reading book. We will all be finishing up with the same stories, grammar and reading lessons. There is a spelling test tomorrow on U4W5 list words. There is a grammar test scheduled for next Tuesday . The lesson is on irregular verb tenses. Students have at least 6 worksheets in their red reading folders they can use to study from. There is going to be a reading test next week also. The story is Paul Bunyan . We have started the vocabulary words this week and have talked about generalizations in the past and again. Students will be engaged in English Language Arts. We will focus on the Common Core Standards which will prepare the students for the PSSA/Common Core Tests. We will be recalling information, building skills/concept areas, using strategic thinking and using extended thinking.
