Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I will be teaching your child ELA (reading, grammar, spelling, writing). I will try to follow the homework helpline assignments as best I can. As always, there may be some unforeseeable events. Please keep in mind we need to have an open line of communication for you the student/parent to have a great year.

December 13, 2018 thru end of the year

The next few days are going to be super busy.  Parents and students need to talk to each other to see what is going on in school. 1st let's look at academics for periods 1 & 2. Grammar:  Test Wednesday on plural nouns.  We have covered this topic in spelling a few weeks ago.  Add -s or -es to a regular singular noun to make it plural. Reading:   Test Tuesday on What Jo Did .  Study vocabulary and cause/effect strategies.  We will start Look, Back, and Write on Tuesday and finish on Wednesday if necessary. Academics for period 3. Spelling:   Pretest Monday Animal Mimics  list.  Students got a list today, and the word list is on page 287 in their "new" reading book.  3x each is due Tuesday and final test is Thursday.  This list is challenging!  Do not wait until the last minute. Reading:   We will be reading Animal Mimics in class, using

URGENT MESSAGE!!

Please share with any parent friends you may have who have a child in 4th grade... Students in 4th grade MUST wear dress code bottoms tomorrow, Friday December 14.  Students can pay $1.00 if they'd like to wear a holiday top or a Spartan top.  If a student is wearing a dress code top, then they do not have to donate $1.00. Sorry for the confusion and short notice.  This is an event that we are thankful to be able to attend.  By not following dress code, our chances of going in the future may be jeopardized.  Thanks for your understanding!  Happy holidays!
