Tomorrow is a FREE dress down day.  Students have gym tomorrow anyway, so they will already be in gym clothes.  We are having an outdoor pep rally at the high school stadium. Book orders are due tomorrow, Sept. 7th. Picture forms will be coming home tomorrow.  Pictures are September 14th.  The district calendar says there is a FREE dress down.  That has been moved to September 21st to accommodate for pictures. This week was super crazy trying to fit in all of the ELA requirements.  The grammar test on declarative and interrogative sentence types is Monday.  I did send home a pack of papers today which includes those sentence types.  PLEASE be sure that packet comes back tomorrow because we aren't finished going through it.  Have a great weekend! Week 2!!! September 4, 2018

WELCOME BACK!  We have all survived the 1st week of school!  It has been a great experience so far!  The students are super excited to be back in the classroom, catching up with their friends, and getting ready to learn. This week we will begin working with our ELA curriculum.  Today there is a spelling pre-test.  There will be homework tonight for those students that did not get all of the regular spelling words correct on their pre-test.  Homework is 3x each, #1-20.  The spelling test will be Friday. This week we are going to begin our reading story Because of Winn Dixie .  We will also be starting our grammar lesson on declarative and interrogative sentences.  There may be an assessment on Friday; if not, then early next week. Students have done a great job returning papers back to me!  Keep up the good work parents! Book orders are due Friday.  They may also be ordered online using the class code that was sent home in Friday folders. Have a great, HOT week! Mrs. Herring
