Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I will be teaching your child ELA (reading, grammar, spelling, writing). I will try to follow the homework helpline assignments as best I can. As always, there may be some unforeseeable events. Please keep in mind we need to have an open line of communication for you the student/parent to have a great year.

The grammar test on subjects and predicates is now going to be tomorrow, Thursday September 26, 2019.  Students were showing me strong signs of understanding, so the test is now tomorrow.  They have done numerous exercises on the smart board during class and had exercises for homework. Spelling test is still Friday. Spririt Week is next week.  A paper went home with guidelines.  Students may wear jeans if it is part of their dress theme.  On Tuesday, no wigs, no full face paint.  Hair dye is okay and partial face paint is okay.  On Thursday, PTO is sponsoring a dance for grade 3-6 from 6-8 pm for $3.00. Have a great week, Mrs. Herring
