WELCOME BACK!! Where has the time gone from the end of 3rd grade to the start of 4th grade? Today was a great day! We will be building confidence, communication skills and relationships with the fellow classmates. This week we will be "getting to know" each other through multiple activities, reviewing policies and procedures and expectations. I will also be administering DIBELS and DAZE tests to see how the students comprehend and use vocabulary skills. Parents, please return the paperwork that was sent home at Meet the Teacher or with your child today if you missed Meet the Teacher. I would like papers back by September 7th. Book orders will be going home on Friday with your child in their Friday folder. They are due back by September 9th. The more books the students order, the more classroom books we can earn for free. Students will be engaged in English Language Arts. We will focus on the Common Core Standards which will prepare the students for the PSSA/Common Core Tests. We will be recalling information, building skills/concept areas, using strategic thinking and using extended thinking.
